There’s something special about getting away for a few days to play golf, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy great company. This trip to Florida was the perfect blend of golf, relaxation, and connection, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of ladies to experience it with!

From luxurious accommodations at The Seagate to our unforgettable forecaddie experience at The Seagate Golf Club and oceanfront rounds at Palm Beach Par 3, every day was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a true appreciation for the game we love.

Here’s a recap of four incredible days in paradise—where we played, where we stayed, and all the little moments that made this Alliventure one to remember!

Day 1 - Arrival Day

We checked into The Seagate, a newly renovated hotel in downtown Delray Beach and our home for the next few days. Perfectly situated on Atlantic Avenue and just a short walk from the beach and local shops, it offered the ideal location for our stay. Guests have access to complimentary shuttles to The Seagate Beach Club—which is also within a 15-minute walking distance—as well as The Seagate Golf Club. The shuttle service operates within a three-mile radius, making it easy to reach nearby restaurants for dinner and explore the area with ease.

Our rooms at The Seagate were stunning—spacious, beautifully decorated, and featuring luxurious bathrooms, a sitting area, and a balcony. We were welcomed with a gracious amenity—delicious truffles from Norman Love Confections and navy blue Seagate hats, perfect for our upcoming rounds of golf in the Florida sunshine.

Once all of the ladies had arrived and settled in, we headed to Racks Fish House and Oyster Bar in downtown Delray for a group dinner. It was the perfect place to indulge in delicious seafood, enjoy fun conversations, and share one of every dessert—because why not?

Day 2 - The Seagate Golf Club

Our first round of golf was played at The Seagate Golf Club, located just 15 minutes inland by shuttle. We arrived with plenty of time to warm up—a necessity for a group of Jersey ladies who had either spent the winter swinging clubs indoors or hadn’t swung at all!

After shaking off some rust, we were ready for our round. This round was special because we had a forecaddie accompanying each threesome—a first for some of us and an exciting first for sure! Having someone guide us through the course, provide yardage, factor in wind (which was crucial on this windy day!), and direct us on putting lines made for a truly memorable round.

After wrapping up our first round, we were all more than ready for lunch. We decided to head back to Mr. Seas at The Seagate Beach Club, where we enjoyed ocean views, Florida sunshine, and some well-earned post-round relaxation.

Day 3 - The Palm Beach Par 3

Today was highly anticipated because we were playing the Palm Beach Par 3, a stunning oceanside course nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. We were also joined by some ladies from the Coastal Chapter of the LPGA Amateurs Association, making it an even more special round.

It’s hard to put into words how breathtaking this course is. The front nine hugs the Intracoastal, while the back nine brings you right up along the ocean. The views were breathtaking and we were taking it all in as we made our way along the course.

The course itself truly tested our short game, forcing us to focus on precision. I can’t say I mastered it, but I did get a birdie on Hole 17 (Maria got herself a birdie as well!)—which made up for the rest of my round!

After golf, we stayed for lunch at Al Fresco, the restaurant located right at the course. Another meal with ocean views, great conversations, and a shared excitement about how amazing the round had been.

That evening, we headed back to Mr. Seas at The Seagate Beach Club, where we enjoyed dinner, drinks, dancing and live music—the perfect way to end another fabulous day in Florida.

Day 4 - The Park West Palm

We had the morning to ourselves, with some of us taking advantage of a beach yoga class offered by The Seagate—a perfect way to stretch and reset before our final round.

Two of the ladies opted for a day of leisure and sun, while the rest of us ventured to The Park West Palm, a modern public golf course located about 25 minutes north of The Seagate. Opened in April 2023, The Park was designed by renowned architects Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, transforming the former West Palm Beach Country Club into a state-of-the-art facility.

Our round at The Park West Palm was definitely an adventure! Between the undulating greens, unexpected sand challenges, and some quirky course design choices, we had plenty to talk (and laugh) about. While it wasn’t everyone’s favorite, it was a unique experience—and one we won’t forget anytime soon!

We wrapped up our trip with dinner at The House, the on-site restaurant at The Park, where the other two ladies joined us for our final group meal. Over dinner, we recapped our past few days of sun, fun, and golf, reminiscing about all the incredible moments we had shared.

Final Thoughts

As we wrapped up our time in Palm Beach, it became clear that this trip was about so much more than just golf. Yes, we played incredible courses, soaked in the Florida sunshine, and enjoyed unforgettable meals, but the best part was the time spent together—laughing, supporting one another, and sharing experiences both on and off the course.

From the stunning views at Palm Beach Par 3 to the challenges of The Park West Palm and the five-star service at The Seagate, every moment added to what made this trip so special.

While we were all sad to see this Alliventure come to an end, we left with new memories, stronger connections, and, of course, already thinking about where the next one will take us!
